First Blogger event in KL

Last Thursday we had our first blogger event in KL. As part of our launch in Malaysia we wanted to make sure we listened to the bloggers and had the opportunity to share our future plans for Malaysia with them. It was great to get their questions and feedback and I’m sure this is only the start of things to come. Thanks a lot to @saimatkong, @cerventus, @ckaywong, @nowamunkie@thechannelc, @icednyior, @blogjunkie, @bytebot, @johnlim, @spinzer for your time , efforts and great feedback.

I also want to apologize once again for the messaging around the Power Up event. Sorry , this will not happen again.

PayPal Power-Up in Malaysia

“Our purpose is to enable small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) to easily conduct electronic-commerce transactions worldwide. The key significance of these new services is that it enables business to be conducted within Malaysia using PayPal and it also gives Malaysian merchants access to our 80 million active accounts worldwide,” said Mario Shiliashki, PayPal managing director and general manager for Southeast Asia & India.

PayPal Innovate 2009

PayPal recently hosted our first developer conference in San Francisco – PayPal Innovate 2009. We have some videos of developers talking about their projects and a PayPal Developer Network blog, of course. Here’s a futuristic video showing how shoppers might use PayPal in the future and how PayPal could be integrated into everyday life. If only that tomorrow could be today!
